American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE)
A nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing energy efficiency as a means of promoting both economic prosperity and environmental protection. Of particular interest is this report on Packaged Commercial Refrigeration Equipment.

American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)
Advancing the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration for the public's benefit through research, standards writing, continuing education and publications.

American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)
A not-for-profit organization that provides forums to write standards. The FSTC develops standards for the F26.06 Subcommittee on Productivity and Energy Protocols for Food Service Equipment which, with endorsement, become ratified as official ASTM Standard Test Methods.

Applications Team (A-Team)
The Applications Team transfers new energy-efficient building technologies from the laboratory to the real world, and stimulates the use of underutilized, high-performance technologies through innovative deployment programs. The A Team is part of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)
Information source on energy efficiency, utility deregulation, facility management, plant engineering, and environmental compliance.

California Energy Commission (CEC)
The state's primary energy policy and planning agency, charged with ensuring a reliable and affordable energy supply and promoting energy efficiency through appliance and building standards.

California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC)
The CPUC regulates privately owned electric, telecommunications, natural gas, water and transportation companies, in addition to household goods movers and rail safety.

California Restaurant Association (CRA)
The California Restaurant Association is made up of approximately 20,000 foodservice establishments in the state of California.

California Urban Water Conservation Council (CUWCC)
The California Urban Water Conservation Council was created to increase efficient water use statewide through partnerships among urban water agencies, public interest organizations, and private entities.

The energy resource center is located in Downey, California. The ERC is operated by Southern California Gas Company.

Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP)

Gas Foodservice Equipment Network (GFEN)
GFEN is an international alliance of utilities, foodservice equipment manufacturers, gas industry associations and foodservice trade allies organized to be a source of gas solutions for the commercial foodservice segment.
